This office does not belong to any insurance group. If you have indemnity insurance (freedom of choice) or PPO insurance, you can obtain coverage at our office. How much coverage, is totally dependant on your policy. PPO insurers will try to steer their clients to their "preferred providers" implying that they will get quality work at much cheaper prices. Unfortunately, this could not be farther than the truth! What they usually find out is that:
- It's hard to get an appointment- can't get in.
- Adult cleanings take 10 minutes.
- The use of cheaper materials.
- "Excessive" diagnosis- lots of work, that has to be done right away, along with a lot of extra "co-payments"
- An over-all impression that the office's main concern is for money, and not for your dental health.
We try to simplify the preparation of insurance claims, thereby holding down the costs that are unrelated to the delivery of good dental care. To improve and speed up insurance reimbursement to our patients, we will electronically submit claims whenever possible. If we cannot, we will provide the patient with our insurance form that they can submit to their own company. Please remember that insurance is considered a method of re-embursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor, and is not a substitute for payment. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others will only pay a percentage of the charge. It is the patients’ responsibility to pay the entire fee and then receive their benefit from the insurance company. The insurance policy you own is provided by your employer and is a contract between you and your insurance company or employer. We know questions arise on insurance matters and these should be discussed with the office personnel. We will be happy to help you receive the maximum allowable benefits from your company.
